Update

Found out today that the re-wiring and central heating will be starting in October. So the railway room needs to be clear by then. Of course all the other rooms in the house need to be sorted as well, (Big Job) That's all for now!

All dried up

Knowing that all this will have to be dismantled yet again doesn't help. All the baseboards have now been bolted together and I am replacing all the legs with a newer design incorporating adjustable feet, (a necessity as the floor is so uneven ) Although I've extended the baseboards as far as I can, I'm not sure if I am going to get away with it as I have no access to the window and this worries me as it is South facing and needs to be opened in those hot summer months.

I have now altered some of the baseboards to give me access to the window and also started on the elevated area of the layout. This is a raised section which runs around the outer area of the layout and is about 4 inches higher than the main boards.
